The core of Bionas technology is the BionasĀ® metabolic chip SC1000. The chip includes sensors for measuring dynamic changes of acidification activity and oxygen consumption and for monitoring cell impedance / adhesion.
Ion sensitive field effect transistors (ISFET) are used to measure acidification rates.
Modified Clark-type sensors measure the oxygen consumption of cells in the medium.
Interdigitated electrode structures, or short: IDES sensors are continuously monitoring cell impedance.
Cells of any origin and species, including tissue slices of up to 0.5 mm thickness, can be placed directly on the sensor surface of the BionasĀ® metabolic chip SC1000.
