Microplates
The microplate well is part of the optical system in plate reading. Therefore, the microplates used need to be high quality and must match certain criteria. The criteria include the reflectiveness of the surfaces influencing the background readings as well as the efficiency of the light transmission to the instrument´s detector. Another important fact is the microplates ability to block light between wells. • Various microplate formats: 24, 96 and 384 wells • Black or white microplates • Black plates with white wells • Cell culture treated microplates (individually wrapped) • Clear bottom microplates
Adhesive foils
Cell based assays are usually done in clear bottom microplates which gives the opportunity to check cell viability by microscopy.
Normally the crosstalk between wells in clear bottom plates is higher as in standard solid plates.
To reduce the crosstalk and reflection Berthold offers adhesive foils which can be placed on the clear bottom.
Injector cleaning solutions
For proper maintenance of the reagent injection systems Cleanit is the ideal agent.
Daily cleaning ensures that accuracy and precision as well as a long life-time of the injectors will be maintained.
Besides Berthold Technologies instruments and their JET injection system all syringe-type systems of other instruments can be cleaned efficiently.
