| Fujifilm introduces the newest in the Bio-imaging Analyzer System (BAS) series of
storage phosphor imagers, the BAS-1800 II. Now featuring 23cm wide imaging plates, the
BAS-1800 maintains the high level of quantitative accuracy, resolution and linearity of
data that the pioneer of Bio-imaging Analyzer Systems has come to be known for. The BAS-1800 II is a powerful combination of the accuracy and finely resolvable scanning of Fujifilm Bio-imaging Analyzer Systems, and the sensitivity of Fujifilm Imaging Plates. A Fujifilm Imaging Plate is composed of a photostimulable phosphor layer (BaFX:Eu) and a flexible support that is greater than 100x more sensitive than the X-ray film it replaces. And Fujifilm Imaging Plates reduce exposure time greatly. There is even an Imaging Plate for neutron detection (see below). The BAS-1800 II features 50µm pixel size and can be used with Windows and Macintosh platforms. Compact, fast, and quiet, it is the ideal storage phosphor imager for molecular biology laboratories. |
